Just as they take the original Viva Glam Gaga off the shelves, a new one arrives just in time to satisfy those Gaga fans out there! The new Viva Glam Gaga 2 lipstick and lipglass were released in MAC stores on Thursday February 17, retailing at $14.50 and like the rest of the Viva Glam line, all proceeds going to the MAC AIDS Fund. The shade is a true nude, though it goes on slightly pinker than the product looks in the tube. It's a close match to both MAC's Myth (VG Gaga 2 is darker) and MAC's Peachstock (VG Gaga 2 is lighter). This is a hard shade to pull off. The amplified formula really allows every crack and wrinkle in your lip to show through and the shade may just be on the border of that dreaded "concealer lip" look. Although the original Viva Glam Gaga was quite cool and difficult to pull off on most as well, Viva Glam Gaga 2 is even harder to pull off and is flattering on even less skin tones. While the lipstick maybe growing on me each time I wear it, it is definitely not an easy shade to just slap on and go. Be sure to condition your lips before putting this on. Bottom line? If you are a Gaga fan, this is a must have. If you can live without the limited edition shade, I would use my $14.50 and grab Viva Glam V, a more flattering shade of nude with the proceeds going to the same cause. Did you pick up Viva Glam Gaga 2? Leave your thoughts in the comments.
Just as u mentioned, I'm not too sure whether I'm able to pull of this shade! But it sure looks really pretty though..
ReplyDeletei agree with the shade looking like it can be a concealer. its just a matter of controlling it and also finding a good liner. i do like this nude on you though. it flatters you very nicely
ReplyDeleteloved the first Gaga shade, & I can't wait to get the new one =]
ReplyDeleteeven if it doesn't suits me I still want one just for the sake of it. Heehe :)

ReplyDeleteI recently purchased it and I'm absolutely loving it! :) The color looks great on you! :)
ReplyDeleteI like the shade on you. I do agree that this color seems like it could be difficult to make work on a variety of skin tones. For me, I'm probably just going to pick up a Viva Glam that I don't have alreay
ReplyDeleteIt's a definitely no no for me. I look like a dead corpse with or without the work. Looks great on you though!
